  • Pinterest

  • Faceless YouTube Videos
  • Faceless short videos

Keep reading, and I’ll go over all these ideas in detail with my own experiences, successes, and failures.

Why Email is a great tool for introverts and anyone

The sad truth is that when you build on other platforms, there is always a risk of them changing the rules, banning you, and you’re at their mercy.

Just recently, I built a Reddit group, and 1 person made a post, “I’m a 25-year-old girl, and I want to talk to someone.”

I just left it, and took Sunday off. On monday my Reddit was banned.

What is SO SO powerful about a list is you own the traffic. Nobody can take that away from you. Plus more benefits such as….

  • Can promote multiple offers
  • Can contact someone WAY in the future
  • Promote your other content
  • Do list swaps
  • Easier to get accepted into affiliate programs
  • MUCH higher conversion rate
  • Great for launching products
  • Get valuable feedback
  • Protects you from algorithmic changes
  • More personalized marketing

So the real reason is, why not? It’s only going to help you.

More good news is that I’m sharing how to build a landing page, how to build a list, and earn money from the list with FREE guides HERE.

How Substack is great for introvert affiliate marketers

Substack is truly an amazing idea. It’s email, but with Twitter, video, blogging, and more. You can make it free, you can charge for it.

Even better, the platform takes an old Internet marketing strategy and gives it new life.

The old I.M. strategy I’m talking about is list swaps. It’s like if I promote your list and you promote my list, we both win.

The challenge with the old school way is finding people. Substack makes it easier to do this.

What is so cool about Substack is that you can repurpose your content. This means if you already are blogging, making videos, or whatever, you can take the same content and post it on Substack.

For a blog, it is good practice to mention at the bottom
This post originally appeared on [your website here].”

If you want to learn more about Substack, I wrote a post HERE on it.

How Blogging is great for introvert affiliate marketers

I’m actually VERY bullish on blogging!

1 reason is that many people are going to video formats or podcasting. This creates an opportunity for people who want to write.

Also, some people (myself included) are tired of the overstimulation and noise. I just want to read sometimes, something from a human.

NOT a machine, a LIVE human.

Reading posts on Reddit, LinkedIN I’m not the only person who is thinking this too.

More good news is that if you use AI correctly, it can be a benefit to blogging and make things easier. Used wrongly, and it can turn people off.

Another major benefit is you OWN the blog. Yeah, you don’t have to worry about getting banned or the platform changing rules.

Plus, you can earn money from Ad revenue on day 1, and it’s more than YouTube. Plus, affiliate marketing is easier with a blog because someone’s eyes glaze over the link; it’s easier to click.

I can go on and on.

In fact, I share 20 benefits of starting a blog and 10 steps to create one in detail in this post HERE.

How Reddit is great for introvert affiliate marketers!

Reddit is great because of a special feature called cross-posting.

If you are an affiliate marketer, it’s much better to start your own subreddit around your niche. When you create your own subreddit, you can create your own rules.

I would also recommend creating a few more accounts and making them moderators.

Next, grow the subreddit post helpful content and crossposting to relevant communities. Remember to read the rules in the subreddit.

The subreddit will grow with…

  • Posts get traffic on Reddit and Google.
  • Crossposting

When your subreddit hits a certain number, you can slowly add affiliate links to the sidebar, sticky posts, automoderator, and even in the feed at times.

Just remember to mention that sometimes there are affiliate links in your subreddit on the sidebar; this is good practice.

To be 100% transparent, I grew a subreddit to 6,000+ members, and one day someone posted, “I’m a 25-year-old girl, and I want to talk to someone.”

It got thumbed up a lot, so I left it.

Then I took Sunday off, and on Monday, the subreddit was banned.

So the lesson is, regardless of what platform you’re on, there is always a risk of you getting banned EVEN if you follow all the rules.

It’s just healthy to mentally remember this.

Another idea with Reddit is that you can hold posts before approving them, too. This could prevent someone from posting some crazy thing that could get you banned.

This is why I strongly recommend your own website and list FIRST, so even if something happens, you have something you own.

How Quora is great for introvert affiliate marketers!

I honestly think Quora is the strictest website on the internet.

Back in the days, they had to compete with Yahoo answers and it was chill.

Now, moderators take their job VERY seriously.

You can use the platform, but to avoid getting banned, I recommend never to include anywhere on the platform.

You are allowed a link in your profile.

The strategy is you could answer questions in your niche and be as helpful as possible. Then mention your profile for more.

This profile link can lead someone to a landing page or a website you own.

You could also create a Quora space and post helpful content, and mention your profile for more.

Just remember, you can get banned at anytime for any reason, so I recommend posting to your own website first and growing a list.

You can learn more about Quora and how spaces work in this post HERE.

How Medium is great for introvert affiliate marketers!

For those of you who think Medium was a has-been website, it gets 100-145 million monthly visits.

What is so cool about Medium is (knock on wood) I have not had ANY issues with posting affiliate links directly in articles.

Of course, at the bottom of the article, you should still have a disclaimer such as…

There may be some affiliate links in the post and I may earn a commission.

More good news. Is the same exact article you post to your blog, LinkedIn, or whatever you can post to Medium for EVEN more traffic.

It’s also good practice to mention this too, such as…This post originally appeared on [Trustthelink.com].”

My strategy is first post it to my website. Then I will make a YouTube video, basically reading the blog post. Then I post both my blog and YouTube video to Medium.

This way, Medium grows my website, plus helps grow my channel.

Now, you don’t need a YouTube channel, but why not?

If you don’t want to show your face, you could always do a faceless video, but showing your face is ALWAYS better.

There is much more to Medium, and I wrote a post HERE that shares 10 proven strategies to use on the platform.

How Pinterest is great for introvert affiliate marketers!

Picture of Pinterest home page from my computer.

Pinterest might just be one of my favorite and best free traffic sources.

Even better is that AI works really well with it. As a cherry on top, Pinterest really has no issues including affiliate links with your pins.

Now, I still don’t do this and don’t recommend it.

How I use Pinterest is I pin my landing page, blog posts, YouTube videos, or even a presell page. It’s just to do a little wine and dining, some foreplay before ulala.

Plus, Pinterest can be a lot of fun. Currently I use

  • Vistacreate
  • Canva

To create the free pins. Then I’ll create an image, nothing too fancy. In fact, nearly any free theme can work.

Then I plug something like this into AI.

I want to create a pin for Pinterest with just text, don’t create an image. The keyword I want to use is “___
” Create for me 3 eye-catching and SEO optimized titles and descriptions for the pin. Along with ideal hashtags.

Mostly, I copy and paste, and sometimes I’ll delete something or add something. AI always goes “we,” and I always change this to “I.” Because I don’t lie to anyone.

Then I include a call to action such as..

  • Learn More Inside!”
  • “See All the Tips!”
  • “Get the Full Guide!”
  • “Watch the Full Video!”
  • “Discover How Today!”
  • “Save This for Later!”
  • “Pin Now, Read Later!”
  • “Don’t Forget to Save!”

I do 3-10 pins a day. Mix up the domains (oh yeah, make sure you include a link with each pin) to the images.

You will get traffic.

For more on pinterest I created a post HERE on it.

How Paid Ads are great for introvert affiliate marketers!

Paid ads can be a wonderful tool!

Of course, it helps to start slowly and test the waters. There are 2 types of paid ads.

  • Prospecting ads
  • Retargetting ads

Prospecting ads are the hook to introduce someone to YOU. They are cold and don’t perform as well as retargetting ads.

With prospecting ads, it’s best to create many different types of hooks and ads to see what works. Some people will respond better to 1 ad than another.

Retargetting ads is when someone goes to your landing page and doesn’t fill out the form, maybe they interacted with you, but have not visited your landing page. These will do better.

Paid ads used to be a painful process. How to create the ad? What platform to run it on?

How to do split testing? There really are TONS of questons and because money is on the line, they are NOT easy to jump into.

Nobody wants to lose money, right?

The cool thing is, AI can make jumping into paid ads WAY WAY easier. It can design the ad, test on ALL the platforms, and do the nerdy split testing.

I recommend this place HERE to try out. Plus, he can give you tons of bonuses. Just remember to start slowly and test the waters.

You don’t want to hurt yourself.

How faceless YouTube is great for introvert affiliate marketers!

YouTube is an amazing platform for affiliates.

Now, it’s even better if you show your face. However, if you’re an introvert, you could do faceless videos.

Mostly, I make videos using this software HERE, it’s FREE.

Of course, you can easily make a video using the software without showing your face, and it just records your screen.

A wonderful idea that I use is that the screen will record a written post, and I’ll just read the post to the camera. Then, at the end, mention the post, and I include a link to the post.

How faceless short videos are great for introvert affiliate marketers!

Short videos are amazing.

For starters, all you need is a phone. You don’t need the latest editing software, fancy backgrounds, take tons of time to make a thumbnail, or the best mic.

Plus, all the editing is FUN and on the phone, and it takes a very short time.

Even better, they get LOTS of views for very little effort. More good news is that you can take a short TikTok video, download it, and then upload the same video to other places.

Sure, I still make longer form videos mostly because I like to talk.

Short videos are better, and I do more of them. Now, I show my face, but you can easily make them without showing your face.

Point the camera at your backyard, computer screen, a product, or your feet, even, and talk. Then, at the end, mention your profile where all the platforms allow a free link.

If you want to learn more about making short videos, I created a post HERE all about it.

Conclusion

I love the quote…

It’s not about finding more customers for your products, it’s about finding more products for your customers.

– Seth Godin

This means if you have a solid landing page and know how to work your list, you really don’t need TONS and TONS of traffic.

Don’t get me wrong, we always want more traffic. But it’s about maximizing the traffic you’re already getting instead of wasting it.

It sort of reminds me of money.

Someone who earns $20,000 a year but saves and invests $10,000 will be better off in the long term than someone who earns $100,000 a year but spends $100,000.

Also, with money, you want to plug up holes and areas where you’re wasting money. It’s the same with building a list.

First, get a decent landing page, build a list, and learn how to make money from the list. Then add fuel to the fire by driving more traffic.

Many people (myself included) make the mistake of ONLY thinking about traffic and wasting a lot of it.

I’m giving away FREE guides on how to build a list and earn money from it HERE.

I hope this post on driving affiliate traffic for introverts was helpful. Bye for now.
