How to Start Affiliate Marketing for Beginners with No Website

This is my favorite side hustle.

It’s 100% flexible, you can do it anywhere, anytime, in nearly any niche, have tons of tun and you can make some good income.

Affiliate marketing is when you mention a link, and if someone clicks on the link and buys something, you get paid.

Sometimes you get paid if someone fills out a form for more information.

More good news is that there are lots of different business models. Meaning you don’t have to build a website if you don’t want to.

You could get started, just using your phone.

I’ve been doing it for over 15 years, and I’m sharing many of my secrets for free HERE

Remote Appointment Setting Jobs: The Ultimate Low-Tech WFH Gig

This is a super low-tech from-home job.

I did something similar where I worked for an accounting company. I would contact small business owners and hook them up with a COVID tax credit.

I loved it.

Honestly, I mostly called people, and I did it while I watched documentaries.

Let me tell you, if people were mean, it was funny as shit. The best advice is if someone is a dick, just hang up and move on to someone else.

It did feel great because I did help small mom and pop shops and not the large corporations; some businesses were just about to go under before we helped them.

Accounting is just 1 area; there is even green energy, and that is a massive field. If you’re interested, I wrote more about this appointment setter job HERE.

Oh, and sometimes it’s just commission, or sometimes it’s an hourly rate with a commission. Again, you’re only setting an appointment, so I guess you could call it sales or not, depending on how you look at it.

Is Selling on eBay Still Profitable? A Dad’s Guide to Reselling for Profit

There are a variety of approaches to this.

The simplest, which doesn’t require lots of tech skills, is finding items around your home and listing them on eBay for cash.

This is what I would start with, and I have done.

I wrote a post HERE that shares all kinds of tips on doing this, plus how to avoid scams and check to see the real value of something.

Just because we own it, we sometimes think it’s worth more than it REALLY is.

The next level is finding items at second-hand stores, garage sales, craigslist and listing them on eBay for profit.

Again, not too techy. Reminds me of the show American Pickers. It could be a lot of fun, flexible, and you set your own hours.

The third level is dropshipping, and it’s advanced.

Dropshipping is when you find an item listed on 1 website, then list the same item on eBay or another website.

When someone buys it, you ship the item from the other website and pocket the difference.

You can dropship on eBay, too. Again, this is very advanced, so I recommend crawling before you walk.

How to Become a Rover Dog Sitter: Passive Income for Animal Lovers

Do you like animals?

There are multiple ways to get paid with them. Even better, it’s flexible, and you’re your own boss too. Here are some examples.

  • Boarding – watch a pet at our home.
  • House Sit – stay at the owner’s home to watch their pet.
  • Drop in Visits – Go to the owner’s home to feed their pet, play, and let the dog out.
  • Dog Walking – 30 or 60 minutes to walk the dog around the neighborhood.
  • Daycare – Watching a pet during the day.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • You get paid to play with animals.
  • Animals rock.
  • Good exercise for you.
  • Easy to start if you have a clean background.
  • Get companionship.
  • Set your own rates.
  • Flexible.

Cons

  • No guaranteed income. Only earn if someone books you.
  • Some apps take 20% of everything you earn.
  • Could be wear and tear on your place if boarding.
  • Stress/liability – you’re responsible for the pet.

If you want to learn more, this app HERE is a great place to start.

Plus, you don’t need a professional certificate to join; you just need to pass a background check and pass a safety quiz. The background check usually costs around $35.

Also, if you have CPR certification or Pet First Aid and experience, it can help you land more gigs.

Some local laws also require a license if you have more than a certain number of pets at your home, too.

You might be wondering what happens if something bad happens with a pet, it seems like a lot of responsiblity right?

People LOVE their pets.

This website HERE does provide a guarantee that covers up to $25,000 in vet care. There is a $250 deductible that falls on the sitter or owner to pay.

Oh, and the pay depends on the city, but could be $20 and $28 per hour.

If you’re just boarding, you’re not doing a whole lot to earn that money. Still, better than a retail job I used to do, where I worked in a freezer and had to move every second.

Still something like this HERE, could be great to have in your home if you do boarding for odors, stains!

Legit App and Website Testing Jobs: Get Paid for Your Honest Opinion

Let me tell you a story.

Somehow, I went to a training class on testing websites and apps and earning good cash from it. I’m open-minded this way!

Plus, you can do it from home, which sounds great, right?

All you do is look at a website, app, and tell your honest thoughts on it. Some of the gigs require you to record your screen and talk while you look at the website.

So I went through the interview and passed the entrance test.

When I went to the backend, there were NO tests. Some of these website testers and app testing places are bullshit.

However, there are some that are legit. Because during this training, this guy was making lots of money at it!

Finding these places is NOT easy.

What I would recommend is going to this place HERE. They have the largest selection of work-from-home jobs.

Not just website testing, but a variety of gigs!

More importantly, they vet each gig to ensure it’s legit and not bullshit. This is the important part!

Even better, they help you get the job. It is a subscription service, but again, it’s so worth it.

A good work-from-home job is worth its weight in gold, remember no commute, save money on gas and time too.

Conclusion of 5 Remote Side Hustles for Dads!

There are TONS more gigs/jobs you can do from home.

I only scratched the surface. I could mention WAY more, but this post would be WAY too long.

The great thing about working from home is that you save money on gas and you save more of your time. Plus, it opens up more opportunities.

If you want more ideas on how to find a good work-from-home job that you will enjoy, I wrote a post HERE that shares 10 easy steps to follow.

I hope this post was helpful. Bye for now.
