No Commute Stress

The largest benefit is not having to commute, put wear and tear on a vehicle, sit in traffic, deal with stress, worry about traffic, or pay for gas.

When you don’t have to communite you save TONS of money.

* average savings

Plus, you save valuable time in your life, instead of sitting in a car in traffic.

The average person in the U.S. spends 54.4 minutes a day, 19 hours a month, 227 hours a year (9.5 days), and 9,080 hours (378 days) in their life, sitting in traffic commuting to a job.

378 DAYS just sitting in traffic their life commuting to a job

Plus, this reduces stress levels. According to this source HERE, Research shows that each additional 10 minutes of commute time is associated with a higher likelihood of depression because the commute itself acts as a direct stressor.

I don’t know about you, but I hate driving, especially in traffic.

It’s SO stressful. A while ago, my dad and I drove around the entire U.S., and I did 95% of the driving; it sucked.

The worst was the big cities.

Plus, by not commuting, you impact the environment in a better way.

Flexible Schedule

One of the largest benefits of working from home is a more flexible schedule.

This means I can go grocery shopping in the middle of the day when it’s less busy. If the weather is nice, I can take some time off in the morning to just enjoy it.

Of course, this also depends on the type of work you do.

Finding these legit work-from-home jobs is not easy because there is a lot of bullshit and scams. I would recommend this place HERE.

It is a subscription service, but it’s worth it. They screen the jobs to ensure a work-from-home job is legit, good, and the job is not a 100% commission sales job.

Plus, they have a LARGE list of jobs.

Even better, they help you land the job. Again, if you can find work you do at home, no commute that you enjoy, would it be worth it?

Hell yeah!

Ideal for Seniors & Retirees

If you have some type of health issue, a work-from-home job can be easier.

For example, if you have some type of back issues, then getting a comfortable chair like this HERE can make your life MUCH better.

The whole “digital nomad” lifestyle allows seniors to remain active and connected to family without having to fully retire or quit their jobs to relocate.

Plus lets be honest.

Fully retiring can be boring. Some people have some real issues with retirement. The key is to find work you REALLY enjoy and also enjoy life too.

You can only play golf so much!

A bunch of people playing golf.

Also, it can keep your mind sharp and can give you a feeling of self-worth.

Oh, and help with the dreaded lonely feeling somewhat.

I think of it like playing a game, but I can get paid. I’ve done many work-from-home jobs, and my favorite is affiliate marketing.

What I like about it is you can do it anywhere, anytime, in any niche, it’s super flexible, and it’s a SHIT ton of fun.

I’ve been at it for 15 years, and I’m giving away many of my secrets and the system I like HERE.

Greater Independence

This is a pro and con for some people.

For me, it’s 1,000% an advantage. However, some people do need someone breathing down their neck telling them what to do.

Let me tell you, a boss makes a BIG difference in how well you like your job.

Try to only work for someone you respect and admire!

A large benefit that may not be seen with a work-from-home job is empowerment. This means it gives you confidence and belief in yourself.

When you can earn money from home doing something you enjoy, it gives you a feeling I can’t put into words.

It’s hard to beat that!

Of course, LOVE is up there too.

Reduced Workplace Stress

Yep, I don’t miss workplace politics and bullshit.

I used to work in this freezer at a large retailer, and 1 time I had to work with someone who went bat shit crazy.

Actually, many times I had to do this.

It was a wonder why I didn’t get stoned to go to that job.

When you have a work-from-home job, you don’t have to deal with that shit. In fact, at this large retailer, my entire crew quit, so instead of promoting me, they brought in an outside guy.

That guy lost the keys to the entire building.

He got moved, and now it was finally going to be my chance to get promoted.

Yep, they brought in a girl with 0 experience in my area to be my boss. Yep, she never did my job and told me how to do the job.

Workplace politics suck!

Access to More Job Opportunities

Instead of just picking from jobs locally, you get access to jobs anywhere. This includes national or even global.

This means more options. Of course, if you live in a tiny little town (like me), it’s EVEN more of a benefit.

Not only can you be picky, but it could also open doors to a better job with MORE pay than the town you live in.

It can also open up opportunities to take on freelance and gig jobs, something that might be harder with a 9-5 commute.

Of course, the real problem is figuring out what type of work-from-home job you want to do. There are TONS of options and ideas.

To help you narrow down your choices, I actually wrote a blog post HERE that shares 11 work from job to consider for retirees.

Plus, I include a cool tool that could help you narrow down your options based on what you enjoy doing.

Give it a whirl and see what shows up.

Can Relocate easy

You can easily move to a less expensive city and give yourself a pay raise with a work-from-home job.

Or if you want to move closer to family, maybe help take care of pets, you can do that. If you want to travel the world and see sights, you can earn some cash while working with a work-from-home job.

Want to live next to a mountain stream with a field of goats and horses? You can do that too.

Better Work–Life Balance

By working from home, you can do the laundry anytime, unload the dishwasher when you want, prep dinner, and by the time 5 Pm rolls many of your household chores could be done.

Even better, a work-from-home job allows small brain-breaks in your day.

Plus, there are SO many little things that can be hugely rewarding.

I’m talking about being home when your kids come home from school, taking a 20-minute break to attend a school performance, letting in a repair person, or taking a delivery without taking a full day off.

Custom Work Environment

Again, I used to work in a meat freezer.

Now, I can have a heat or a portable AC unit like these HERE, to make the environment MUCH better.

Another thing which is VERY cool is something like this HERE, that prevents eye strain if you look at a screen too much.

Basically, you can set up the desk, lighting, mood, and sound to your liking when you have a work-from-home job.

Unlike a normal job, where you take what you get, and you’re not supposed to complain, right?

Oh, and I do have to mention that if you HATE techology something like this HERE it’s a smart display that can make life much easier and better depending on the work you do.

Conclusion on 9 Reasons to Consider a Work From Home Job

I really just scratched the surface on some of the benefits of a work-from-home job.

Now, of course, not everything is sunshine and rainbows with a work-from-home job, but give them both a try.

See which one you like more.

Don’t take my word for it.
