How a Real-Time Sports Data Analyst is a great remote sports entry job!
Let me tell you a story.
I lived overseas in Southeast Asia for around 2 years.
One day, I met someone at the grocery store. He told me he was hiring for sports reporters.
So I told him I would be down.
I went to his hotel room for training, got hired, and learned all I could about Soccer. I think sports betting places want someone to update their websites accurately, and they paid someone to watch the game and tell them what was happening.
It sounds so easy, right?
The first few games, I did it, and it wasn’t bad, and I got paid. It was cool for someone living in a foreign country.
Then 1 game, I was trying to tell the operator what was happening, and he couldn’t hear me.
It was through the phone; however, I do know some places do it through an app. This was maybe 10 years ago, so things might have changed.
Basically, I got REALLY frustrated and quit the gig, BUT I did get paid.
Now, you may like this gig, but talking to someone over the phone might not be the best way, especially if the stadium is crowded.
If you want to learn more, I wrote a post HERE that shares some places that might be hiring.
Oh, and the technical name for this job is Real-Time Sports Data Analyst, and usually it involves going to the game.
Sadly, I’m not sure it can be done at home!

Start a Sports Blog: How to Build a Remote Passive Income Stream
I know what you might be thinking!
Blogging is dead.
You can still get traffic from the search engines with a blog. Plus, you can easily post the same post to places like Medium, Substack, Linkedin for more views.
Oh, and AI can help a Ton!
There really is a TON you can do with 1 post. Oh, and you can get ad revenue on day 1, which is MORE than YouTube.
More cool stuff is how flexible it is.
You can work anytime, in nearly any niche (like sports), anywhere there is an internet connection (anywhere in the world), it’s a lot of fun, and you can earn some great money.
If you really want to geek out, I wrote a post HERE that shares 20 benefits of a blog and 10 steps to get started.
The bad news with blogging is that it could take 3-8 months to fully rank a blog post on Google.
Plus, it’s good to diversify because Google has been known to come out with updates. Oh, and many affiliate marketers and bloggers don’t make high income, but SOME make great money!
It’s not an hourly wage!
However, I love it, and I think it’s fun!
Baseball Data Support Coordinator: Remote MLB Stats Jobs
You’re reviewing live game feeds to ensure data is accurate. Also, correcting data points to ensure they’re correct.
You may be wondering why this job exists.
A technical failure can be a major issue that impacts everything from gambling to scoreboards to how teams make decisions to win. Sure, technology does the heavy lifting, but it can make mistakes.
So you’re hired to make it more accurate.
Usually, this job is seasonal (April to October) and pays around $25 an hour. The bad news is the high weekend demand; it’s seasonal, and you have to be accurate.
Oh, and it’s fully remote too.
You might be wondering how to find these types of jobs.
One place I would recommend is this one HERE. They have the largest selection of seasonal, flexible, and work-from-home jobs available.
The reason I recommend them is that they vet each job to ensure it’s legit and high quality, NOT a scam. Let me tell a short story.
I took a class for a gig testing websites, and I went through the hiring process. Turns out the job was bullshit, so there are REAL gigs and bullshit ones!
Plus, they help you get a job. Now, it is a subscription service, but it’s SO worth it.
Sports Content Curator: Entry-Level Fantasy Sports Careers
Basically your managing feeds for a team.
Such as updating injuries on a team, ensuring stats that appear on an app are accurate.
Requires fast typing, but is fully remote
The bad news is that it’s LOW pay. The estimated income is $500 -$1,000 a month and is a flat fee. Also, you ALWAYS on mentaly for news, and limited growth for full-time roles.
The good news is you get paid to follow your favorite sports team. You’re active on social media and have a passion for fantasy sports; it could be a good fit.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt to have one of these things.
This way, you can watch the game and update the feed at the same time.
Sports Data Specialist: Remote Football Statistics Entry Role
This job involves entering charts, statistics, and player information into a spotting board used by broadcasters and analysts during sports games.
Usually involve cross referencing sources, but is needed for sports broadcasting.
Also, it’s mostly for football, and the work is usually seasonal.
The bad news is that the income is low at around #12.50 to $15 an hour. However, if you LOVE football, spreadsheets, and geeking on data, this could be your jive.
Freelance AI Sports Trainer: High-Paying Remote Tech Jobs for Fans
Your labeling and organizing of sports footage or data to teach the AI.
Reminds me of when I upload photos to microstock places (I do for extra cash), sometimes they won’t accept it, but are used to train AI, and I can earn money.
Speaking of which, if you go to sports games, take some photos and videos, and upload them to microstock. You might just make some extra cash. Plus, it’s passive income too!
If you want to learn more about this, I wrote a post HERE.
Anyways, a freelance AI sports trainer has very flexible hours, often writing short descriptions of why plays are labeled.
The income can also be higher, at $18 to $65 an hour.
The bad news is that the work can be random, can be tedious, and can require an expensive computer for videos.
It can be done at home, and could be a great fit if you’re into computers and able to explain plays (sounds challenging to me).
Oh, and if you’re going to stare at a computer screen for long periods of time, something like this HERE might save your eyes.
Plus, you look cool!
Closing
There are TONS of other work-from-home or flexible jobs that you may enjoy. I only shared a few in this post.
Working from home is great because you save money on gas, wear and tear on a car, save time plus it opens up WAY more opportunities because you work anywhere.
Plus, you have more jobs to choose from!
You may be wondering where you can find these gigs and exactly how to get a good one.
I created a post HERE that shares 10 steps to get a work-from-home job, to make things as easy as possible.
I hope this post might have been helpful. Bye for now.
