What is one thing you enjoy doing?

Affiliate Marketer

By far my favorite way to make extra cash from home.

The bad news is that nothing is guaranteed, of course, which is exciting for me.

Affiliate marketing is when you post a link, and if someone clicks on the link and makes a purchase or even fills out a form, you get paid.

The cool beans, is that you can do it anywhere in the world, anytime, around your schedule, in nearly any niche, have tons of fun, and it’s flexible.

Flexible, meaning there are hundreds of different ways you can approach it. You can write, do videos, heck, you just use Pinterest and still earn money.

I’ve been at it for 15 years, and the system I use and recommend I’m giving away for FREE HERE.

Transcribing

Transcribing is when you watch a video or listen to audio and type what you hear.

I know what you might be thinking: Doesn’t AI do all this? Yes and NO.

If you have ever used TikTok’s editing tool (you know that video platform kids use) and tried to transcribe your videos so words show up.

You will know sometimes it doesn’t work.

This is why some places will pay people to transcribe video and audiofiles. This way it’s WAY more accurate than using AI.

I’ve also heard some really good stuff about transcribing work. The bad news is you have to be accurate.

To find a legit place that hires, I would recommend this place HERE. It’s a subscription service for work-from-home jobs, but they only show legit good offers, plus they have a massive list.

Also, they can help you get the job.

Online Tutor

A few years ago, I backpacked around Europe, and a few people I met in hostels were doing online tutoring as they traveled.

How cool is that, right?

A very popular angle is teaching English, since many people in the world want to get better at the language.

However, there are online tutors for a subject you may LOVE, such as history. It would be rewarding to help someone with a topic you enjoy, while you learn at the same time.

There could even be positions available for life skills and counseling.

Of course, the counseling gigs might even pay more.

Customer Service Representative

Do you have lots of patience?

If so, a customer service representative, might be up your lane. For the last 2 years, I used the phone a TON to help business owners with a COVID tax credit, and I loved it.

More entertaining than TV.

As long as you have a good sense of humor then a customer service rep you might love. Large companies like Hilton, American Airlines, and others are known for hiring remote agents with good communication skills.

Finding these jobs that are legit is NOT easy. I would recommend this place HERE.

It is a subscription service, but they weed through the bullshit and scams; they have a massive list of good jobs you can do from home.

Plus, they can help you get the job.

Is it worth it? If you find something you enjoy, without commuting, and you earn money, it could be.

Survey Reviewer or Product Tester

Yep, this does exist.

I tried this myself with 1 platform. The gig was that I would look at websites and apps and tell companies what I thought about them.

So I did the interview and passed it.

Then I went to the website, and there was no work.

Now, this was only 1 website that offered these types of gigs, and there are a lot.

To help you find these gigs, I would recommend this place HERE. They have the largest selection of work-from-home jobs that are legit.

Remote Sales Support or Appointment Setter

If you hate sales but love to help people, this could be a great fit.

An appointment setter is setting up appointments for sales agents to do the hard work.

I did something similar, marketing a tax credit for business owners, and I loved it. I basically watched documentaries while I tried to reach business owners, hooking them up with a tax credit.

All I had to do was get them to fill out 9 boxes for more information.

The sales agents and accountants did the rest of the work.

Sadly, the program came to an end. Still, it was one of my favorite jobs, and I helped a lot of people who deserved it.

I will say, if you do something with sales, appointment setting, or sales support, it does help A LOT if you believe in the products or services you put in the world.

Patient Support Representative

This is a growing field that could be a great fit because it helps you learn about medicine and insurance.

Then you’re sharing your knowledge with others, helping them.

Plus, it’s a growing field.

You do need…

  • Professional phone and chat etiquette
  • Strong listening and problem-solving
  • Empathy and patience with stressed or ill patients
  • Time management
  • Clear, calm communication

This might be one of the most difficult work-from-home jobs to land, but it could be the most rewarding.

Virtual Assistant

I get it, nobody wants to be the #2 person.

However, the #2 position sometimes is better than the #1 position. It’s almost like drafting in racing.

You know the second car is using less fuel because the first car has the resistance of the wind.

Plus, there is less pressure on #2. A virtual assistant would do things such as…

  • Manage email
  • Typing, data entry
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments
  • Social media assistance
  • File Organization

Of course, each virtual assistant might have different tasks to do.

Microstock

Lately, I’ve been WAY too addicted to microstock.

This is something like listing photos, short videos, illustrations and audio clips on platforms. If they get used, you get paid.

What is so GREAT about this is that it forces you to leave the home.

What I do is live my life, and if I see something really cool, then I take a photo and a short 10-second video of it.

Then I upload it.

The bad news is you probably need a lot of content to make money. Also, the pay is not great, but it’s a lot of fun.

It’s almost like hunting, but you don’t have to kill anything.

I wrote a post HERE that explains much more about microstock in detail.

AI ART

Are you creative?

There are all kinds of different ways to make money with art, especially online.

Plus, it expands into other areas such as print on demand, freelance gig work, microstock, and much more.

Print on demand is when you put art on T-shirts and mugs.

Well, this area is deep, and I wrote a whole post HERE, that shares 10 ways to earn money with AI art and it goes over it in much more detail.

Ebay Reseller

Have you ever seen the show American Pickers?

Basically, this business goes to places that want to get rid of old things, and I think they resell them for more money.

Of course, I haven’t seen the show in a long time.

There are all kinds of ways to sell your old stuff on eBay for cash. There are even ways for you to hunt for good deals and then resell the item for a profit.

Yeah, just like old book stores used to do before Amazon changed things.

Heck, there is even a way to sell something without having inventory, and that is more advanced.

If you are interested, I created a post HERE that gives all kinds of tips on selling something you own on eBay for cash.

I would recommend starting small, then if you enjoy it, you can purchase items to resell and even set up an online store.

It could be a lot of fun.

Conclusion

I just scratched the surface of what is available for work-from-home jobs.

There really are TONS more options and ideas. s.

Hopefully, this post gave you some ideas. Plus, I included a tool that can give you ideas, based on activities you enjoy doing.

For a complete 10-step process to finding a legit work-from-home job, I wrote a post HERE.

I hope this post on 8 legit work-from-home jobs was helpful. Bye for now.
