Why it’s a Good Idea to Use AI for Blogging?
You might be worried about Google slapping you down like a UNO Reverse card with a devil grin. Google only wants what is best for..
The User Experience
If AI can improve the user experience, then Google wants you to use it.
Now, If you use AI to create the MOST boring article that people fall asleep after 2 sentences then Google will slap you down faster than me closing tabs when the boss walks by.
Unless your website is designed to help insomniacs.
We just have to figure out how to use AI to improve the user experience. This way you will get more done in less time, have more fun, and get more traffic!
How to Use AI to Create Images for a Blog Post?
One of the best ways to use AI is by creating images. It’s SO cool!
What you want to do is head over to ChatGPT here, and create an account. To be fair the platform Canva also has an image creator tool, but I like ChatGTP.
Then in ChatGPT head over to the DALL-E plugin that should be on the left-hand side.
Then in the prompt simply type in whatever you want for an image. Try to come up with the craziest image you can think of.
For example..Create for me an image of a purple parrot pissing into a pink pillow surrounded by angry demon pillows. (First thing that came to my head)
When I wrote that into ChatGPT it gave me the message….I can’t create that exact image, as it includes explicit and potentially inappropriate content.
Then it created this for me..
Still, it’s so fun!
How to Use AI to Brainstorm Ideas on What to Write About
Yep, if you hit a creative brick wall AI can jumpstart it! Let’s say your niche is “pillow fighting.”
Go over to normal ChatGPT, and write in the prompt.. “Give me 100 different ideas on what to write about for the topic of pillow fighting.
Bam!
ChatGPT will give you a massive list of various ideas and just pick the topic you’re most excited about! When you’re excited about what you’re going to write about, it’s good for you and your reader!
This improves user experience!
How to Use AI to Come Up with Funny Stuff for a Blog Post
Yeah, I love doing this! When you write little sayings, you can add a funny twist to it.
This is actually a trick for copywriting! But works in a blog too.
Sort of like when I said how Google will slap you down faster than…
Go to ChatGPT and write.. “give me 10 examples of something being slapped down quickly, but put a funny spin on it.”
Bam!
Pick an idea you like and stick it into your blog post.
How to Use AI to Help Come Up with Stories in a Blog Post!
Since the dawn of time, cavemen and women have LOVED stories! We still do. Use them to keep attention, sell stuff, entertain, and educate.
Now, if it’s your own story then that’s “better.” However, AI can still come up with some stories you can stick inside your blog post.
This is also another copywriting trick!
In 2023 a journalist named Maggie found herself facing 3 article deadlines in 1 week. That’s when she decided to experiment with ChatGPT.
She fed it a rough outline and asked for help drafting her article. The first draft wasn’t perfect, but it was a head start – saving her over an hour.
For the second article, she used ChatGPT with her arguments and even used AI to take on a devil’s advocate stance, which helped her refine her points and avoid weak spots.
In the third article, Maggie used the AI as a creative brainstorming partner feeding it snippets from an interview and asking for compelling angles and headline ideas.
She got dozens of ideas, which she tweaked into the final title.
In conclusion, she met all the deadlines, with time to spare. One editor told her it was her most polished draft yet.
This was a true story, that I got from ChatGPT and I summarized it for the blog post. You can do the same thing.
All I did was type in the prompt “Give me a story on how using ChatGPT can improve user experience with writing, but make it a true story.”
Do you see how AI can improve user experience?
How to Use ChatGPT to Find Affiliate Offers to Put in a Blog
AI is wonderful for brainstorming offers to include in your blog post. If you are writing a blog post on “pillow fighting” (of course) you can tell ChatGPT to list 10 of the best affiliate products that are helpful.
Just make sure to vet the products yourself! Make sure they are good, but AI can give you ideas that you would never have thought about!
Affiliate marketing is when someone clicks on a link and buys something you get paid! It’s a nifty way to make some extra cash and all you have to do is refer someone! All the complex stuff the company takes care of!
Remember the key to affiliate marketing is..
Only recommend products you would recommend to your mom or very close friend.
A VERY nifty trick with Affiliate marketing is PLR (Private Label Rights). This means you own the product, do no work creating it and you can keep 100% of the profit.
Plus there are more uses for them such as bonuses, growing an email list, creating scarcity on an offer, and growing social media channels.
I should ask ChatGPT how to use them, I’m sure there are TONS more. You can learn more by clicking on this link HERE.
How to Use AI to Create Subheadings for a Blog Post!
A normal blog post should be between 1,300 to 2,000 words. Now if it’s a very competitive keyword, you can always write more.
The trick is you’re not writing 1 HUGE blog post, but a few smaller ones. This is where subheadings come in. You can use AI to brainstorm 30 subheadings for a blog post on a topic.
Then pick a few you want to talk about, put them in your blog, and fill them out!
How to Use AI to Come Up with Boring Stats for a Blog Post!
Sprinkling some stats for a blog post can improve user experience. I would just caution not to overdo it!
Say you are writing a blog post on “pillow fighting” You could ask the AI to come up with 5 unique stats on pillow fighting. Then sprinkle 1 or more of them into your post.
Did you know…
- Pillow Fighting Has Become a Professional Combat Sport in Over 25 U.S. States.
- Pillow Fight Day Is Celebrated in Over 100 Cities Worldwide
- The Largest Pillow Fight Had Over 7,681 Participants
Ok, that wasn’t a sprinkle it was a spill, but it is sort of cool!
How to Use AI to Repurpose a Blog Post for More Views
The power of a blog post lies in re-using them and re-purposing them. It’s all about the leverage – getting more done with less effort!
Hey, laziness creating the automobile, computer, and phone!
You can take 1 blog post and repost it to other places. You can also use the blog post as an outline for videos, podcasts, eBooks, forum answers, and a ton more.
If you get stuck just ask the AI.
Give me 20 ways to reuse and repurpose a blog post!
Bam!
Just remember to take all the answers with a grain of salt. Also, use your own “noggin” at times!
It may not mention Pinterest, but Pinterest is a wonderful place to re-use the idea and get more traffic for example.
How to Create a Content Planning Calender with AI
Here is a unique idea for never getting writer’s block. Tell the AI to come up with topics to write about for a week or even a month.
Then it creates that discipline and schedule.
Honestly, the most important part of creating content is discipline. I recommend having a schedule and sticking to it.
If you could get a punch-in and punch-out clock (I would recommend that). Stick it in your home office!
Then put on a business owner’s hat and set a schedule for yourself. You will probably work 80 hours a week and burn out.
Next, put on an employee hat and set a schedule. You will probably work 5-10 hours a week.
Now, comes the fun part you have to come to an agreement! A happy medium for both of your split personalities!
Then stick to your schedule.
This content calendar idea can help with discipline.
For example, you could tell ChatGPT to come up with the ideal publishing schedule for a blog about “pillow fighting” including different themes, topics, and deadlines each day.
Then you can decide if you want to take the AI’s suggestion.
I’ve actually used this by asking “How many times should I ideally be posting TikTok videos a week and blog posts.”
How to Use AI to Almost Write Blog Content Like a Human
Finally, you can have AI write almost like a human. I recommend writing it yourself because you’re building the house on a solid foundation.
You know it’s quality when the base ingredient is human, then sprinkle in some AI.
However, it can be intimidating to start with a blank screen and some people prefer the AI to first write a draft. Then they can edit it to make it a better experience.
1 tool that can make ChatGPT sound more human is this FREE Chrome Plugin HERE. It has a lot of prompts that you can pick from.
It helps you come up with exactly what to ask the AI. Plus there are tricks to make the AI response more humanlike.
Then when you have the draft, edit it and add your own spin and stories to it!
You may be tempted to have the AI do ALL the work and just submit it! This reminds me a of story. Back in the day, there was something called “article spinners.” You could take an article spin it and then submit it everywhere.
It did work for a little while, then Google hit me with the Reverse Uno Destory card!
The quality sucked. My domain got a bad reputation too. It was 1 step forward 2 backwards!
You want your blog post quality 9 /10 that way the blog post will last years and continue to drive traffic! Plus it improves your brand.
10 /10 is perfect and this is not good because you will never post anything!
How to Use AI to Create Better Blog Titles
Oh, and I almost forgot you can use AI to create better titles. I recommend putting the keywords you want to rank for in the title. This way you “dummy-proof” the machine on what to rank for!
Still, you want humans to click on the title. There should be an element of clickability to it. Oh, and it should be under 60 characters.
In ChatGTP simply write – I want to create a blog post with the keywords “pillow fighting” Give me 10 different titles with those keywords, but add something to each title to make it more clickable.
You then can choose the one you want.
Conclusion
One of my favorite sayings is…
People are about as happy as they make up their mind to be.
Abraham Lincoln
It’s the same with AI.
It can be a blessing or a curse depending on how you look at it. Glass half empty or half full.
Some people think there is NO opportunity in blogging anymore. I disagree. Blogging is a wonderful tool to add to your marketing toolbox, but don’t neglect other tools.
1 wonderful tool you absolutely MUST have is email marketing. This way when someone leaves your blog you can continue to contact them in the future with emails! It’s an asset.
Without getting their email address when someone leaves, you probably will never hear from them again. People are busy.
However, you have to send out emails correctly. I have a free guide that will “massively” skyrocket your income with email if done correctly. It’s VERY good.
Plus, it’s free and you can check it out at the place HERE. Oh, and there might be some bonuses free gifts with traffic and landing pages too.
